Summary

We are looking for a dynamic Graphics Production Manager to oversee our Graphic Department's daily operations. In this role, you will lead and inspire our graphics production team, ensuring creativity and innovation align with the company's strategic goals. You will manage resource allocation for maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness, implement tracking systems for project progress, and uphold rigorous quality control standards. This position will involve developing training programs to enhance team skills, offer mentorship, and maintain a supportive environment for professional development. Stay updated with advancements in graphic design technology and integrate new tools to deliver high-quality results efficiently. Promote and maintain a robust safety culture by ensuring compliance with safety standards, articulating expectations, and fostering continuous improvement in safety practices. This is a full-time in-office position based out of Anaheim, CA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Director of Graphics Production to establish consistent processes for branch graphic production.

Assist with staff scheduling as needed.

Develop best practices and policies for graphic production.

Support graphic production efforts to maintain exceptional service levels.

Ensure adequate material inventories for production needs.

Review product quality to meet service standards.

Monitor and report on service quality improvements and share findings with management.

Promote a high standard of quality service that Freeman is recognized for.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company's graphic products, services, and capabilities.

Keep personal workspace and documents organized and clean.

Participate in training programs and request additional training as needed.

Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Travel to show sites as scheduled to support graphic needs.

Collaborate closely with Layout Specialists, Deployment, and GAMs from planning through show closure.

Assist CSM & Growth with graphics-related inquiries and projects.

Oversee graphic invoicing for accuracy related to services rendered.

Communicate and reinforce safety objectives and policies within the team.

Maintain compliance with safety laws and regulations.

Investigate and address workplace accidents, documenting findings and implementing necessary improvements.

Encourage open dialogue on safety concerns and maintain accountability for a safe work environment.

Track and evaluate safety performance metrics to support decision-making and improvements.

Act as a liaison with union leadership to ensure productive labor relations.

Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent is required; experience in project management in a tradeshow or convention graphics environment is necessary.

An Associate's Degree in production or management is highly preferred.

5+ years of experience in graphic design or a related field with diverse project capabilities.

4+ years of supervisory experience, managing a team of 3 or more.

2+ years of hands-on experience with various graphic printing technologies, including UV, dye sublimation, and solvent-based systems.

Advanced proficiency in both PC and Macintosh environments and industry-standard software.

Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.

Strong understanding of automated workflow systems for digital and press production.

Experience with all facets of print production, including preflight, digital printing, finishing, and sewing.

Budgeting and financial management experience is a plus.

Extensive knowledge of graphic production processes, equipment, and techniques, ensuring high-quality output.

Strong mathematical skills are required.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Proven success in team-building techniques.

Experience in adapting to a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Knowledge of workplace safety practices and OSHA regulations.

Demonstrated ability to maintain safety regulations and contribute to a proactive safety culture.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

OSHA 30 Certification is required.
