Job Description
Do you enjoy moving between different kinds of creative work—developing an event brand one day, improving a website the next, and designing a social media campaign, proposal, or email blast after that?
\nConstellation is looking for a versatile Graphics + Web Specialist to support our organization and the diverse events, programs, initiatives, and client projects we manage. This is a hands-on role for an experienced designer who can turn evolving ideas and complex information into polished, accessible, and engaging visual communications.
\n
\nThe position is structured as an independent contractor engagement of up to 20 hours per week. The contractor may work remotely or in a hybrid arrangement, with occasional in-person work in Albuquerque as needed. This opportunity may have the potential to transition into an employee position in the future based on organizational needs, funding, performance, and mutual agreement; however, future employment is not guaranteed.
\n
\nWhat You’ll Work On
\nYou’ll create and maintain materials across print, digital, web, email, and event environments, including:
\n• Social media graphics and digital campaigns
\n• Event branding, signage, programs, sponsorship materials, and large-format graphics
\n• Proposals, reports, presentations, flyers, advertisements, and other collateral
\n• Websites and landing pages, including site structure, navigation, imagery, and user flow
\n• WordPress website updates and maintenance
\n• Mobile-responsive email campaigns and reusable Mailchimp templates
\n• Production-ready files for printers, sign vendors, websites, and other partners
\n• Brand templates, visual guidelines, and organized shared design assets
\n
\nYou’ll collaborate with Constellation’s leadership, marketing, events, and program teams while managing multiple assignments with different audiences, visual styles, priorities, and deadlines.
\n
\nWhat We’re Looking For
\nThe strongest candidates will have:
\n• A professional portfolio demonstrating versatility across styles, audiences, and deliverable types
\n• Strong typography, layout, color, composition, and image-selection skills
\n• Proficiency in Canva, including editable templates and collaborative design files
\n• Experience creating social media, event, print, proposal, and presentation graphics
\n• Experience planning, designing, and maintaining websites
\n• Experience designing and building email campaigns in Mailchimp or a comparable platform
\n• The ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to feedback
\n• Strong attention to detail and a reliable quality-control process
\n
\nExperience with Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred. WordPress experience is strongly preferred, particularly experience with Beaver Builder. Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility, basic SEO, image optimization, and website quality assurance is also valuable.
\n
\nExperience supporting public health, nonprofit, government, event management, community-based, or professional-services organizations is a plus.
\n
\nEngagement Details

\n• Up to 20 hours per week
\n• Compensation: Negotiable based on a weekly or monthly rate
\n• Hybrid or remote, with occasional in-person work in Albuquerque
