Job DescriptionJob DescriptionRecognized as one of the largest local Real Estate Associations in the state of Michigan, the Greater Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® (GMAR) provides its members premier benefits and opportunities throughout the real estate industry and advocates on behalf of property owners with legislators.We are looking for a dynamic Graphic Designer to join our team! The Graphic Designer creates strategic marketing materials to educate and promote all aspects, as well as GMAR events. Responsible for developing effective content messaging, the Graphic Designer will work with all forms of media, including press releases, digital campaigns, print materials, social media, audio, video, and more.This is a hybrid position, Monday – Friday, with two remote days and three in-office days. Office hours are 8:30a-5p M-Th and 8:30a-4p on Friday.We offer full benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, Life Insurance, and 401k.Specific Responsibilities:Design, create and manage all online and offline GMAR materials, including flyers, GMAR’s REALTOR magazine, custom invoices, inserts and rack cards, website pages and banners, graphics for presentations, marketing templates to be used by other departments (PowerPoints, social media, flyers, etc), social media graphics, and brochures/marketing pieces promoting all GMAR brandsDevelop, maintain, and post content and communications over GMAR social media networks, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedInDevelop and post pop-up notifications in MLS systemDesign and produce graphics such as graphs, maps, charts, posters, and signsMeet with Marketing Manager, Leadership, and Department Managers to understand project requirements and present design ideasSet (with Marketing Manager and stakeholder) and adhere to project deadlinesCommunicate project progress via the Marketing Ticket board, updating key stakeholders throughout the project; manage workload and projects via this systemEnsure that designs align with brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identityEnsure website content and aesthetics are current and communicate the information and image of GMAR; create new pages and make changes as requiredCollaborate with Marketing Manager and web developer on GMAR website development and designOrganize and maintain design files, ensuring they are readily accessible and properly archivedTake pictures and videos at events; edit, produce, distribute, and presentEdit and produce short “how to” training videosCollaborate with Marketing Manager to discuss project workload and budgetCoordinate relationships with vendors; prepare specifications and obtain estimates for final approvalOther Team Responsibilities:Assist other staff with event functions when availableServe as front desk/phone backup (if necessary)Required Skills/Abilities:Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Canva, social media, and website development platformsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsUp to date on industry trends and able to stay ahead of the curveExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Graphic Design preferredAt least three years of experience in marketing and graphic designNon-profit association experience helpful
