The Document Graphics Specialist produces technical illustrations, photographs, diagrams and schematics for technical publications using established software in accordance with engineering change order instructions. Configuration management systems are utilized to store and retrieve data. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate and assess job requirements/scope of work Prepare graphics/images for inclusion into technical publication Utilize various software to edit graphics/images including, but not limited to: Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop AutoCad Visio Microsoft Word WordPerfect Ensures that graphics/images meet internal and external customer technical requirements for quality and file formats Prepares various types of graphics/images in accordance with Military specifications and customer and/or contract requirements Generates final graphics/images using computer graphic software Convert graphics/images into format compatible with technical publication Scan Images Establish and maintain file configuration control of graphics/images Other duties as assigned Skills & Requirements Must have demonstrated knowledge of basic graphics concepts (perspective, etc.) and be able to use them within an electronic environment. Good communication skills.EXPERIENCE REQUIREDComputer (network and personal computer) skillsEDUCATION REQUIREDFormal Education - High School Diploma; AA degree desirable.Technical training in engineering design technology, engineering graphics or technical illustration preferredMust be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET U.S. government security clearance.
