High School Graphic Design Teacher

Small, all-girls private high school is seeking a graphic design teacher to lead a group of ~9 highly motivated, engaged students in a graphic design course. The course utilizes Adobe Illustrator for students who have never used it before, and the goals of the course include learning the basics of the software, becoming familiar with theory behind good design and creating work to demonstrate their new skills. The course meets twice a week for the first semester of the school year (August 30-Jan 10) and pays $60 per 45-minute class period. The right candidate communicates clearly, enjoys working with teenagers and teaches in an engaging, interactive way. Teaching experience highly preferred.
