The primary role for the designer is to explore and support the design team on a wide range of projects including Someone who lives for ideas / thinks out of the box Curious about the world and passionate design, creativity and craft Energetic and enthusiastic A great critical thinker Assist in the development of holiday and non-holiday design concepts according to merchandise and marketing schedules * Research inspiration and keep abreast of relevant trends and the competitive landscape * Maintain a strong sense of the Uncommon Goods design aesthetic through all design work Collaborative and fun *Work directly with the President/Chief Designer on creating new products *Coordinate the packaging of new products * Well organized, detail oriented, precise * Excellent verbal & written communication skills -* Willingness to learn and help out wherever needed
