MARK CUSTOM RECORDING SERVICE INC., in Clarence, NY is a Buffalo Music Hall of Fame company, that is a classical music label, recording studio, music publisher, and manufacturing company with an international reputation for high quality recordings, production and service. We are looking for an ON SITE energetic, Full Time Production Typesetting and Layout Artist, for immediate hire, to join our team. Remote workers, we respectfully will ask to not apply.
We are MacIntosh computer based. Applicant must be proficient in InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Acrobat, (Adobe Creative Suite) and Microsoft Office applications.
Applicant must have the ability to perform layout and light design for CDs, DVDs, iTunes booklets, forms, ads, posters, flyers, and all aspects of art layout for the music industry. Proofing, preflight, troubleshooting and preparing jobs for off set press printing and in-house print is required. Knowledge and experience in web application, CSS and HTML is helpful. A classical music background is a major plus.
Strong communication and customer service skills are necessary as you will be in contact with clients and vendors to coordinate project details and delivery, mostly through email.
Candidate must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities. Must be production-oriented with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously, having a high attention to detail and follow-through.
A minimum of 2 years of full-time graphic/pre-press production experience is required. Salary is commensurate with experience.
