The Graphic Designer II is responsible for various graphic design and pre-press tasks, ensuring customer satisfaction and service excellence. The position requires proficiency in design software and a solid understanding of print and digital media production.Responsibilities & TasksPerform design and desktop publishing tasks, including job orders and revisions, adhering to specifications and deadlines.Communicate effectively with project coordinators and managers regarding project questions.Provide proofs and ensure timely proof delivery.Create designs that meet department standards.Maintain a clean and organized workspace.Organize and archive files for easy retrieval.Meet all position requirements and perform essential functions.Assist in tagging and organizing the image library.Produce pre-press and digital/web graphics and text.Prepare files for output to various media formats.Receive, manipulate, and maintain files electronically.Prepare files and creative content for digital media, including web and social media platforms.Send files to digital printing presses and copiers.Apply experience in comping and book pagination.Work independently with minimal supervision.Collaborate with peers, offering creative insights and developing new methods.Require minimal art direction from the director.Support inside and outside sales staff in promoting services.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: At least 5 years of education and/or experience in graphic design and advertising.Skills and Abilities:Experience creating motion graphic typography or vector animations using Adobe After Effects or similar software.Proficiency with Macintosh or PC, and software such as InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and Photoshop.Knowledge of PDF and PostScript files and related plug-ins.Understanding of utility programs like file compression, disk repair, print spoolers, and file conversions between Mac and PC.Ability to prepare files for various output methods and manipulate files electronically.Experience preparing digital media content.Ability to send files to digital printing presses and copiers.Experience in comping and book pagination.Ability to work independently without constant supervision.BenefitsEncompass Health offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision plans; paid time off; tuition reimbursement; continuing education; a 401(k) with company matching; employee stock purchase plans; and flexible spending and health savings accounts. #J-18808-Ljbffr
