Junior Graphic Designer

The Junior Graphic Designer will create print and digital media under the direction of the Design Team, promoting OHC's ministry initiatives while adhering to the visual identity of the brand. Designs professional-quality graphics using the Adobe Creative Suite which demonstrates an understanding of typography, color, composition, and formAssists with design for sermon series branding and pulpit graphics with guidance as assignedAssists with design and user experience of OHC website with guidance as assignedCreates and delivers supporting graphics, illustration, typography, and photography guidance to Videographers as neededWorks collaboratively with ministries, Creative Director, and Creative Team on design and implementation of graphics for promotional and ministry use such as flyers, ads, brochures, slides, logos, signage, environmental displays, web graphics, email graphics, social media graphics, apparel and giveaway itemsAdheres to and ensures the timeline and objectives stated for the project and are consistent with the brand standards as established by the Creative Team. Participates and shares ideas in brainstorming meetingsAssists in facilitating and coordinating with vendors the negotiation and purchase of goods and services. Ensures quality and objective of project are fulfilledKeeps up to date with industry norms, skills, trends, tools, and softwareOther duties and responsibilities as assigned Skills Associate degree from an accredited college or university in Graphic Design or related fieldOne (1) year experience as an intern or Junior Graphic DesignerKnowledge of design principlesKnowledge of print production processesKnowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) & Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) applicationsKnowledge of English grammar and vocabularyAbility to present and pitch concepts and ideas to peers and leadershipAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlinesAbility to complete diverse projects and tasks on time and on budgetAbility to work independently with limited supervisionAbility to communicate clearly and effectively through both verbal and written meansAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, members, and ministry volunteersAbility to perform all the physical, intellectual, and analytical requirements of the position including decision making Company Overview
