About Growth Story
Growth Story is a boutique marketing agency specializing in branding and websites helping professional service providers — consultants, coaches, legal and financial firms — show up online in a way that truly reflects their expertise. We're a small, founder-led studio and we like it that way. We're strategic, creative, and we care a lot about the quality of what we put out into the world. We work closely with clients who are great humans that we genuinely want to see succeed.
The Role
This is a part-time W-2 position starting at 8–10 hours per week. For the right person, there's a path to full-time as we grow.
You'll work directly with our founder, Allie, supporting client project delivery. You’ll also collaborate with our Content Specialist for internal marketing design needs. The priority right now is getting solid design support on client work so Allie can spend more time on strategy and business development.

This role is for someone with real design experience and understanding who loves executing and thrives in an environment where initiative gets noticed.

What You'll Work On
Client Project Support

Developing mood boards for new client engagements
Exporting and organizing logo files from Adobe Illustrator following established SOPs
Creating brand guideline documents from completed brand projects
Ad-hoc design projects as needed (mailers, brochures, print collateral)
Retainer client design requests using existing brand assets (business cards, stickers, social graphics, etc.)
Logo concept development and ideation in collaboration with Allie (as you grow into the role)
Logo refinement rounds (as you grow into the role)
Squarespace site builds, if it's a fit with your skillset (as you grow into the role)

Internal Marketing Support

Developing and maintaining a consistent visual look for Growth Story's Instagram
Designing social media carousels for content repurposing
Creating blog graphics based on direction from our content specialist
Building mockups and graphics for client case studies

Tools

Canva (required)
Adobe Photoshop (required)
Squarespace (preferred)
Wordpress (preferred)
Elementor (preferred)

Who We're Looking For

Adobe Illustrator is your home base and you’re comfortable with its features and quirks
You have a clean, professional design aesthetic that can flex across different brand personalities
You understand layout, typography, and visual hierarchy, and your work shows it
You follow a brief closely and work within brand guidelines without needing a lot of hand-holding
You manage your own work and don't wait to be told what's next
You communicate proactively, especially when something's unclear or running behind
You care about doing great work, not just getting things done
You’re comfortable with remote work and excel in a virtual culture environment

We'd also love to find:

Canva experience for quick-turn deliverables and internal content
Familiarity with Squarespace
An eye for Instagram aesthetics
Agency or freelance experience where you were juggling multiple clients or projects at once
Someone who genuinely wants to grow into a full-time role over time

The Non-Negotiables
We're less interested in a perfect resume and more interested in how you work.
Detail-Oriented

You follow a brief, work within brand parameters, and deliver files that are organized, properly exported, and ready to use. You notice when something's off and you fix it before anyone has to ask.

Self-Directed

You take responsibility for moving your work forward. You don't wait to be told what's next — you look at what needs to happen and you handle it.

Reliable
You hit your deadlines. If something comes up, you say something early rather than going quiet. The team can count on you.
Growth-Oriented

You're not just here to do a job. You want to get better, take on more, and eventually become a core part of how this studio operates. You see this as a starting point.
