Job Summary
We're looking for a talented Junior Graphic Designer with a strong eye for clean, modern visual storytelling to join our creative team. This role supports the development of high-quality visual content for marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives across our footwear and wellness lines.
The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with strong design fundamentals, comfort working across both print and digital formats, and the adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Working under the direction of an Creative Art Director and closely with other members of executive, sales and marketing teams, you will help deliver our brand message across all channels. This is a full-time, in-house position that may lead to hybrid, located in Oxnard CA.
Primary Responsibilities
Design engaging layouts for print catalog and marketing collateral.
Support product and model photography in accordance with brand guidelines.
Create Photoshop composites (include examples in your portfolio).
Assist in conceptualizing and executing digital banners, landing pages, and social media content.
Design banners, brochures, and displays for events and retail stores.
Design and update product packaging (boxes, tags, labels, etc.).
Support email blast design and layout.
Prepare artwork and creative files for both print and digital applications, ensuring specifications, dimensions, formats, and other production requirements are met.
Execute frequent design revisions and artwork updates with a high level of precision, consistency, and attention to detail.
Edit and retouch product and lifestyle photography to align with brand standards.
Maintain organized design files, templates, and asset libraries.
Assist with shoe design research, trend research, and colorway development.
Participate in creative reviews, incorporate feedback professionally, and continuously refine design skills.
Maintain an open line of communication with other team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Visual Communication Design (Graphic Design or a closely related field), combined with a strong, creative portfolio.
Qualifications
1–2 years of professional design experience (internships and freelance work considered).
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and Mac or Windows desktop; solid working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (XD and/or Figma a plus).
Solid understanding of graphic design fundamentals: typography, composition, color theory, hierarchy, layout, and production-ready artwork.
Foundational understanding of photography and printing.
Developing understanding of light and shadow for creating convincing Photoshop composites.
Exposure to product photography a plus.
Awareness of current design and fashion trends.
Working knowledge of social media platforms and content formats.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
Collaborative and team-oriented.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
Desirable Skills (a plus)
Experience with video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar).
Deep understanding of AI design tools (e.g., Higgsfield, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Photoshop Generative Fill, etc) and how to integrate them into a design workflow.
Knowledge of packaging production workflows.
