Junior Graphic DesignerFull Time | New York, NYDBI is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to be a part of our New York City Creative team.The Junior Graphic Designer will create designs according to specifications and execute design tasks. The incumbent will promote the DBI brand internally and externally, as well as help communicate key ideas through visuals, formatted reports, and presentations.The Junior Graphic Designer will be expected to demonstrate the ability to present original ideas and have a keen eye for detail, as well as communicate work status and concepts. The ideal candidate will successfully create imaginative designs, work within the overall brand requirements, be open to learning more, and create impressive designs that promote the company's culture and vision.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :Work closely with Creative Director to launch projects.Produce graphic elements, presentations, formatted reports, internal documents, and marketing materials.Understand project requirements and concepts.Communicate with creative and project teams and drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.Conceptualize and execute materials that meet company standards.Pitch creative ideas to the Creative Director.Use the best design methods, applications, software and techniques to work on assigned projects.Create drafts and models for review.Fulfill ongoing creative needs of the organization, including brand identity and visual standards.Produce final design solutions.Uphold the values of DBI Consultants and the culture espoused by Our Foundation.Consistently demonstrates professionalism, integrity and the highest standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct; conducts oneself in a manner that reflects favorably on the organization.Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information, exercising sound judgment and discretion in any disclosure of information related to DBI Consultants and its endeavors.Commits to continuous improvement and professional development for self and team members.Perform all other duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in graphic design or other related areas of academic study is required.Entry level with up to two (2) years of experience as a Junior Designer.Experience with design software and graphics editing tools (e.g., Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).Experience with Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Adobe XD is preferred.Understanding of visual elements (layout, type and fonts).Ability to tell a visual story.Strong creative thinker with a sense of responsibility and ownership.Possess a good portfolio of past design and creative projects.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong creative, project, time management, and multitasking skills.Creative thinker with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude.SKILLS AND ABILITIESUnderstanding of design principles in both print and digital formats.Ability to work well within a team.Ability to be flexible and maintain a professional demeanor.Ability to prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines.Ability to demonstrate teamwork, compassion, and respect toward others.Ability to drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.Ability to absorb and respond to constructive feedback.Presentation skills with ability to clearly communicate through visual messaging.Salary: 65K
