Junior Graphic Designer

Reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer, the Junior Graphic Designer works closely with the Marketing team to assist in the creation of graphics and various visual aspects of the organization – including, but not limited to – advertising elements, logos, collateral, in-house signage, digital media content, and more. The Junior Graphic Designer role is a full-time, non-exempt position which will be paid based on the hours worked. • Project a positive attitude toward the organization and co-workers. • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, andLightroom) • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills to manage a continuous workflow in a high-volume,multi-tasking environment • Possesses some understanding of design principles including color theory, typography, and layout techniques • Assists with Marketing and content creation tasks (as needed) • Strong desire and aptitude to continue learning and take on new challenges • Works consistently to stay abreast of design and industry trends • Presents a professional attitude both in the office and when representing The DoSeum externally • A natural multi-tasker and self-starter who is able to maintain focus in an open space work environment • Ability to meet tight deadlines with quality work and interpret feedback from working partners • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, anticipating needs & changing dynamics, and managing accordingly • Solution-oriented; when necessary, escalates issues in a timely fashion • Strong communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously as part of small team • Available to work weekends (on occasion) • Motivated by the mission and values of The DoSeum They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of this position, which can be revised at the discretion of the VP of Marketing.
