Junior Graphic Designer

Green Acres Nursery & Supply is seeking a creative, hard-working, detail- oriented individual for the position of Junior Graphic Designer. Green Acres Nursery & Supply is a fast-paced retail plant nursery and landscape supply store with a vast product mix, competitive pricing and superior customer service Candidate must have a friendly, can-do attitude, be able to manage several tasks simultaneously, and be creative with strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidate also needs to be energetic, self-motivated, and must pay close attention to detail. This person should have at least three years of experience with print and illustration, signage, print processes, and design for the web, and should be familiar with the differences in setting up files for print and digital. Qualifications: -Three+ years of experience working as an in-house graphic designer or with an agency -Degree in Graphic Design a plus -Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered -Strong sense of design, color, and composition -Ability to maintain color consistency across print and web -Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, Bridge and Illustrator -Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 -Familiarity with editing and creating content in WordPress and Shopify -Commitment to accessible design and best practices -Ability to meet deadlines with the ability to pivot direction and process feedback quickly in a fast-paced, continually evolving environment -Familiarity with the gardening/landscaping environment is a bonus Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: -Utilizing brand guidelines to create visually interesting, accessible designs -Creating marketing materials for both print and digital such as handouts, posters and signs, billboards, vehicle wraps, merchandising, and special event materials, as well as supplemental graphics for presentations, websites, and social media.
