Junior Graphic Designer

Junior Graphic Designer Pinckney Harmon is currently looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our team! The Graphic Designer will apply art, design, and copy layout skills to create visually engaging concepts, including logos, promotional and branding materials, and other print and digital materials. • Creates original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames • Incorporate changes recommended by Design Lead, Creative Lead, and clients into the final design • Able to present designs and able to back up design direction/choice with valid reasoning • Collaborates and consults with editorial staff, manager, art director, and/or other project participants to understand project assignment, audience, and intended message • Chooses graphics, clip art, and stock photography, as appropriate • Follow brand guidelines when selecting fonts for written copy; produce a sample layout for approval by client or other project participants • Prepares drafts of design work and provides samples to editorial or other appropriate staff or departments for review • Revises projects as necessary based on the collaborative feedback process • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field • Must live within a commutable distance to Charlotte, NC • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship • Portfolio showcasing your work • Proficiency in desktop publishing tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other Adobe programs • Ability to work independently on an assignment • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
