BZDesign is a Rochester-based strategic design and consulting firm working at the intersection of product development and marketing.

We help startups, growing companies, and established organizations develop better products, build stronger brands, and bring ideas to market.

We're looking for a Junior Visual Designer to join our team and play an important role across both sides of the business.

This is not a traditional production-design role. You'll work directly with experienced designers, strategists, engineers, entrepreneurs, and clients—helping turn complex ideas into clear, compelling visual communication.

What You'll Do
You'll work across a wide variety of projects, including:

Create presentations, pitch decks, proposals, and client-facing materials Design websites and digital experiences using Figma Develop brand identities, visual systems, and marketing materials Create graphics for product launches, campaigns, social media, and other communications Help visualize complex product and business concepts Support industrial/product designers with visual storytelling and presentation materials Participate in brainstorming, design reviews, and client meetings Take concepts from rough ideas to polished, presentation-ready work Work with senior designers to develop your design skills and creative judgment Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-moving consulting environment
What We're Looking For
Required
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Communication Design, or a related field—or equivalent experience Strong foundation in typography, layout, composition, hierarchy, and visual storytelling Proficiency in Figma Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite A portfolio demonstrating thoughtful visual design Strong attention to detail Ability to communicate ideas clearly and receive constructive feedback Ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of your work Ability to work primarily from our Rochester studio The Person We're Looking For

You'll also have the opportunity to grow well beyond traditional graphic design as you develop your skills in visual communication, brand, digital design, product storytelling, and consulting.

Compensation $55,000 annual salary

Full-time position based in Rochester, NY, with a studio-first collaborative work environment.
