Gateway is hiring a Lead Designer to help guide our design team and make sure our construction plans are accurate, clear, and easy to use. Review and approve drawings to make sure they meet company standards and are ready for construction.Set and improve design processes and standards for the engineering team.Work with engineers and field crews to make sure designs are practical and efficient.Lead and support drafters and junior designers by checking their work and helping them grow their skills.Prepare final design packages, including drawings and supporting documents.Keep track of multiple projects and deadlines, making sure work is organized and delivered on time.Use survey data and past records to support new designs.Communicate with managers about workload, deadlines, and budget limits.Be a key link between the Engineering and Construction teams to keep everyone aligned.
