Should project scope need to be increased or re-calculated, the Consultant will provide a flexible and scalable team pursuant to the Change Control Process in Appendix A. Data Designer • 5 Years Datastage and Supply Chain EDI Experience • Has extensive knowledge using DataStage ETL tools (Datastage v8.x or 11.x) and various database platforms • Experience with Caterpillar EDI project design and development is highly desired • Familiarity and/or experience in any Caterpillar Business Area that leverages EDI • Familiarity with AIAG Supply Chain EDI model • Familiarity of extracting data from various data sources and loading to Teradata, Oracle, and DB2 RDBMS • Knowledge and Understanding of Caterpillar EDI Environment • Understanding of Caterpillar SI mapping naming structure • Deep knowledge of Caterpillar IDOC/APP structures • Understanding and knowledge of Caterpillar EDI Design Patterns • Excellent communication/interview skills to extract detailed EDI integration requirements from non-technical integration requesters, as well as ability to effectively collaborate with Caterpillar EDI Subject Matter Experts. o Data Integration table 4: scope of support Data Design Team will be responsible for gathering internal client requirements and creating Project Requirements Documents for data projects and solutions, creating Project Risk Assessments, creating Design Documents including Visio or flow diagrams, updating Project Folders (LAN Drive) with all required deliverables and supporting documentation, obtain design review/approval from Architects/Functional leads, and deliver / present the designs to development team for execution.
