Level II Graphic Designers

We are a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) seeking two highly skilled Graphic Designers (Level II) for an on-site federal contract supporting the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) at their headquarters in Washington, DC.

This is not a standard digital-first creative role. We are looking for designers who excel in print production management, prepress, and institutional branding.

What You’ll Do:

Design and format high-visibility publications, reports, and digital assets for federal stakeholders.Manage the print procurement pipeline: estimate costs, create bid specs, and coordinate directly with commercial printers.Prepare production-ready files (color management, bleeds, binding specs).Ensure all documents comply with Section 508 accessibility standards (tagging, alt-text, structured tables).Navigate GPO (Government Publishing Office) forms and Title 44 federal printing regulations (or learn quickly on the job).What You Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.2–5 years of professional graphic design experience (agency or in-house).Expert-level Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Familiarity with Enfocus Pitstop Pro and XMPie is a plus.A strong portfolio demonstrating institutional work, typography, brand alignment, and print prepress.U.S. Citizenship (Required for federal security clearance/background check).Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC (situational telework may be supported).Details:
