This individual is responsible for playing a leading role to contribute to the growth of the U.S. business through cohesive and meaningful design. Adapting and executing graphic design collaterals for global campaigns while balancing and considering the unique POV and goals of the U.S. marketCreate final artwork mechanicals, facilitate specs to production partners and follow the process to completion, including approving color proofs and attending press runs and site visits as neededAdapt global designs and create local print collateral, including brochures, sampling kits, scented materials, invitations, out-of-home media and transparenciesContribute to the brand purpose by ideating and collaborating creative concepts for Arts & Culture initiatives for the U.S. marketProvide creative solutions and support with an understanding of key business and strategic objectives for PR eventing and marketing initiativesBuild strong working relationships and instill trust within the Artistic Direction team, cross-divisionally and globally, along with external vendors and agenciesChampion creative excellence that inspires daily actionable tasks and decisions as it pertains to graphic design and visual direction of the HouseDesign and construct high quality hand comped samples for proof of concept and validation using various materials Engaging in and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environmentConnecting strategic global vision with day-to-day, regional execution of art productionHighly collaborative and energized by new ways of working within large and small groupsShowing fearless curiosity in learning new skills, technology, knowledge of the House history and being informed of the trajectory of the luxury industryHaving an awareness and appreciation of art and beauty which influences individual and team contributionsDisplaying sincere humility and a sense of being grounded in self-awarenessCultivating a growth mindset that contributes to the creative process, the mission of the Artistic Direction and the vision of CHANELFostering creativity and innovation by taking new risks, testing, learning and growingDemonstrating a keen eye for detail details and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges. Understanding of Figma, After Effects and SketchUp is a plus.An appreciation and passion for design with a meticulous eye for detail, storytelling, typography, branding and imagery as it relates to multiple mediums and visual conceptsSelf-motivated and able to stay organized with changing workloads and assignments with an ability to prioritize work and resources across projects, from small creative tasks to larger deliverablesExcellent written and verbal communication skills to present creative and strategic ideas effectively to the Artistic Direction team and cross-divisionallyNaturally collaborative attitude with an enthusiastic approach and interest in learningAbility to execute on creative direction from leadership while bringing new ideas to the teamMulti-format adaptation: ability to adapt visuals for point-of-sale, print media and out-of-home mediaSkill and creativity to create high-qualitative graphic design assets for local initiativesExceptionally skilled in hand comping using various materials Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position.
