ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Marketing and Social Media Manager will: • Design the overall marketing strategy and marketing plan for Briar Baby • Focus on primary objectives of driving market share and revenue growth, increasing engagement and brand awareness • Develop, implement, and monitor email funnels • Create, monitor, and implement social media strategies for higher engagement • Create all email and social media copy, as well as specs/outline for all graphic assets • Create content for social media, including reels and video • Coordinate with graphic designer and photographer on all creative asset needs, including ads • Coordinate with production, operations, and shipping departments to ensure cohesive planning in alignment with all company needs and goals • Work with operations department in creating, updating, and revising website platform, product listings & landing pages • Coordinate with relevant outside contractors, including public relations • Work closely with outside digital marketing agency to create, test, and rework ads to generate results • Manage and execute brand collaborations and influencer marketing • Grow email subscriber list, social media following, and other touchpoints as needed • Develop and manage the marketing department’s budget • Prepare forecasts, track relevant analytics, and prepare regular reports to senior management • Manage all current and future marketing staff QUALIFICATIONS The Marketing and Social Media Manager qualifications are as follows: • 3-5 years in a complex, fast-paced office environment; startup experience preferred • Comfortable in an independent workspace; can stay self-motivated and driven • Skilled understanding of Google Analytics, SEO, social media platforms, customer engagement strategies and current trends • Proven track record of funnel creation and management that leads to client acquisition • Expertise with FB ads; creation, testing and reworking for results • Proficiency working with Facebook Business Manager, Insights in Instagram, and other social media platforms • Proficiency working with Google Workspace (email, Calendar, Drive, Sheets/Docs) required • Proficiency working with Canva, Slack, Asana, and Dropbox preferred • Graphic design proficiency to create assets for social media, podcast, and other programming (via Canva) • Strong communication and copywriting skills • Personable, has positive attitude, exercises good judgment, is an excellent collaborator, and demonstrates a growth mindset • Versatility and flexibility to adapt as company grows • Bachelor’s degree in marketing preferred BENEFITS • Two weeks paid vacation; increases to three weeks after three years of employment • Sick pay • Employee discount and product allowance CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT • Must be legally entitled to work in the United States • Must have a valid driver’s license, and transportation for running business errands as needed • Work will be conducted on-site at Briar Baby headquarters (Vancouver, Washington), with flexibility for some remote work This job description should not be construed to imply that these requirements are the exclusive standards of the position.
