Marketing Associate

***** Full Benefits * Competitive Pay * Great location * \--- | The Marketing Associate is responsible for supporting and implementing a wide variety of marketing, communications and community relations projects, including project management, partnership, sponsorship and event support and the development and production of collateral materials, all while communicating in a voice consistent with the company’s values and culture. * Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as journalism, marketing, public relations or mass communications * At least one year of experience writing (AP Style preferred), proofreading and creating an editorial calendar in a field such as marketing, advertising, public relations or journalism * Relevant college coursework or portfolios may substitute for up to one year of required experience * Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite – i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint * Ability to provide a portfolio of work, including writing, design and video samples * Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English * Ability to exercise independent judgement and initiative * Reliable transportation * Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Photoshop and InDesign * Photography/videography experience * Familiarity with iOS and Apple computers * Ability to analyze and interpret statistics relevant to social media and digital marketing, and adjust content accordingly * Experience with social media management platform, such as Hootsuite * Experience with WordPress or similar content management software * Valid Texas Class C driver's license * Record of safe driving for the last five years as shown on current MVR, with no serious accidents or traffic violations | *Texas Disposal Systems is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
