Marketing Associate

RESPONSIBILITIES -Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Associate is responsible for supporting all aspects of marketing, promotion, and communications for the school, both internal and external. These responsibilities include: -Plan, design, schedule, and execute the printing needs of Academy collateral -Maintain, update, and grow Academy social media presence, including on Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and other platforms -Manage a comprehensive internal community communication plan including daily announcements and quarterly newsletters -Serves as the primary staff person for all front-of-house needs for Academy public and ticketed events, including ticketing, tech needs, and relationships with vendors -Provide on-site support for other events and student programs as needed -Execute and manage all Academy merchandise sales QUALIFICATIONS -Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, or relevant field preferred -2 years’ previous experience as a marketing associate, marketing assistant, or related position -Proficient in Adobe products, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Audition -Significant experience with Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and relative advertising platforms -Experience with Google Analytics and Google Adwords -Comfortable with Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or other email services -Experience in events management, including ticketing, front-of-house production, and hospitality -Superior computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Google Docs -Up-to-date on the latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently -Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -In-depth understanding of industry and its position in the market -Exceptional communication and presentation skills -Strong analytical skills with a goal-oriented attitude -Experience working with students and in an educational environment preferred -Salesforce and Pardot experience a plus Salary Range - Starts at $40,000 SEND COVER LETTER AND RESUME TO: Tim Butler, Director of Marketing and Communications employment at chicagoartsacademy dot org Please be sure to reference Marketing Associate within the subject line.
