**Overview:** The Marketing Communications Graphic Designer plays a crucial role in managing projects and executing plans related to visual content development within the context of Centenary College's marketing and communication goals and strategic marketing objectives. The ideal candidate will have advanced graphic design skills and experience in creating and deploying web content, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. **Responsibilities:** • Manage priorities, create and/or oversee creative projects including graphic design, social media photography/videography, and website content • Provide expert guidance and direction for improving the utilization of Centenary's media platforms, including internal and external communication • Assist the Senior Director of Marketing and Communication in supporting the department's core public relations and marketing annual plan and operational functions • Ensure that the department follows ethical and accepted communication practices and that Centenary College's visual identity and marketing standards are met on all projects • Develop original graphic content for traditional/print projects • Work interactively with campus offices, academic departments, and other entities to represent their various interests and meet their needs through the website and associated social media • Stay current of developments in digital communications for use in public relations activities, providing recommendations on web best practices and improved usability • Identify opportunities to leverage emerging and established trends to inform and motivate key constituencies in line with strategic institutional goals • Work as a leader on the Marketing and Communication team, providing oversight with multiple platform and publication design projects and other special projects as needed • Accessible and reachable by telephone or text message at times other than College business hours for fielding urgent after-hours requests • Other related projects, duties, and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary • *Qualifications:** • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related experience; portfolio requested • Advanced graphic design skills and fluency with industry standard productivity and design tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, etc. * Awareness of basic digital system structure, terminology, and development and deployment principles • Knowledge of and experience with developing, creating, and deploying web content, including website navigation • Ability to support Squarespace sites is a plus • Ability to communicate effectively and politely with stakeholders • Must be able to work in a self-directed manner through the use of strong organizational skills and inventiveness and possess strong attention to detail • Must be able to fulfill job requirements in a high-energy, high-traffic area • Awareness of the latest communication trends and ability to research, implement, and leverage, as appropriate, new and existing technologies to support the department's work • *Benefits:** Please note that Centenary College offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement planning, and paid time off
