These responsibilities include some of the following: Set long term vision for the US design function Set long term vision for the design function to grow it’s business valueExplore new areas where design can add value to the businessExecute on the vision and implement with the Marketing Design TeamBuild new capabilities and best practices for design Develop new design capabilities to mature into categories/BU’s or provide as serviceDefine designs way of working to foster efficiency, effectiveness and creativityCollaborate with stakeholders on a shared strategy to resolve the blockers that historically impede progressEnsure standards for process, briefing, creative quality etc.Establish annual brand audits to drive consistency in quality of outputFoster a culture of creativity Support categories with recruitment of design talentOversee design talent growth, career prospects and trainingBe the voice of designers across and outside the organisationRelationship management of design agenciesDeliver Results Lead the US Marketing Design to deliver best in class design across all consumer touchpoints.Set new standards in the design of distinctive and meaningful brand experiences that drive Demand Power (equity) through bold, provocative and insightful creative leadership.Enable, empower and ensure flawless execution of our brand experiences, consistently and coherently across all market touchpoints (US Local Stars & Global Brands).Harness deep human understanding to design inclusive, innovative and sustainable experiences to help individuals to reach their everyday health goals.Collaborate effectively with the Supply organisation and R&D on Packaging & Product Development.Ensure consistent ways of working & best practice (between Category Mkt, R&D, Supply, Procurement, Artwork Center)Develop clear KPI system to evaluate design creative and monitor progress against design metrics.Adhere to design research best practice.Collaborate with Global Power Brand Design Directors to ensure effective deployment of brand assets locally through adherence to brand guidelines.Deliver against the expectations for Design at Haleon for superior consumer experiences.Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor's Degree Design or equivalent experience with 15 years or more design expertise in agencies, CPG or Consumer Healthcare.Senior level design, marketing, development, and innovation experience applied in business settings with demonstrated business success at the Global or Local Market level.Commercial acumen developed from experience of being part of a multifunctional team.Design expertise includes all aspects of Branding, Design & Innovation process, knowledge of design thinking and how this applies to the business, knowledge of global design culture, design communication, design organization and design structures in other industries, business and business processes understanding at strategic/tactical and operational level.Management experience in FMCG environment.Track record of managing a design talent team and developing an excellent functional reputation internally and externally.Experience of other Design disciplines including brand, structural packaging, POS, expert, advertising, digital, industrial design, product development.Experience with qualitative and quantitative market and design research.Experience with global design partners in global design projects.Understanding and experience in how design change can affect the brand business model (metrics and measurement).Experience of managing design budget over categories and brands.Solid strategic thinking, commercial and marketing skills.Understanding of the strategic challenges (competitive, environmental, consumer trends, HALEON capabilities) and competitive environment facing the CH business.Experience successfully cooperating with people of different levels internally and externally (multiple design partners) and effectively managing design team to deliver business objectives.Key Capabilities Leads with purpose and is focused on the ‘why’ and the impact our actions have on our consumers and society.Exhibit advanced design leadership skills in recognising how and when to sync creative, emotional and business intelligence to achieve design objectives.Adaptable, agile, and distributed decision-making – using evidence and applying judgement to balance pace, rigor, and risk.Welcomes feedback and is responsive to internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrates flexibility of approach and always acts with integrity.Strategic thinking – uses deep consumer insights (data) to drive action, commercial thinking and develop meaningfully distinctive brand assetsExceptional stakeholder management – bringing cross functional leaders together to deliver excellence.Committed to delivering high quality results, overcoming challenges, focusing on what matters, execution.Implementing change initiatives and leading change.Sustaining energy and well-being, building resilience in teams.Future focused to continue commercial success ensuring decisions today lead to growth for the future.Continuously looking for opportunities to learn, build skills and share learning both internally and externally.Managing individual and team performance.Developing people and building a talent pipeline.Translating strategy into action - a compelling narrative, motivating others, setting objectives and delegation.Building strong relationships and collaboration, managing trusted stakeholder relationships internally and externally.Budgeting and forecasting, commercial and financial acumen.Inspires others, is passionate about Design and how it can be a growth driver.
