Marketing Manager

Based in Massachusetts, Bonhams Skinner holds around 80 sales a year in 20 collecting categories including Americana, Fine Art and Collectibles, and Wine, and ranging from fine violins to contemporary paintings. As the Marketing Manager based between both the Boston and Marlborough Bonhams Skinner offices, you will work closely with the wider US marketing team from Bonhams, the internal specialist departments and be responsible for the coordination, planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns which may include digital campaigns, print campaigns, editorial content, social media, events, photoshoots, and ad hoc projects. You will report into the Marketing Director and liaise regularly with colleagues in New York and London, as well as other cross-functional teams such as Press, Design and Operations. Responsibilities · Lead regular sale specific kick-off meetings for Bonhams Skinner auctions, analyzing materials and consignments to craft an appropriate marketing campaign · The marketing campaigns for these auctions will include an integrated activity that might include digital media, print ads, events, and more · Work closely with Bonhams’ media agency to brief campaigns and campaign assets in a timely manner · Work with photography, graphic design, and internal marketing team to craft assets that align with the campaigns and their goal · Organize photoshoots and video shoots, including liaising with internal operations and external photographers/video producers/stylists, to ensure assets are delivered in a timely manner · Analyze post-sale the results of the campaign analytics across all channels, reporting back results to the departments on a regular basis · Brief to external writers and coordinate editorial content for relevant departments and sale campaigns —which will involve publishing content to Bonhams Skinner’s website · Work in Salesforce marketing cloud to build basic template-based email campaigns for Bonhams Skinner auctions and consignment messages · Track marketing spend and budget and process invoices in our internal billing system, sharing with the Marketing Director monthly · Support and post on Bonhams Skinner organic social media channels, as well as share content with Bonhams marketing coordinator to ensure content is posted across all channels · Establish and maintain a close working relationship with key stakeholders in the NY office and keep ongoing knowledge of business goals · Support on events coordination, which might include advertising, email marketing, and social media. · Work with the team to ensure we deliver on valuation day tactics, including promotion of First Tuesdays in Marlborough and beyond Key Skills & Attributes • A creative thinker who embraces new technologies and can collaborate effectively across the organization • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications, or related field • 3+ years of professional experience in marketing & communications • Proven ability of analytical reporting • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills • Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment • Interest in the arts, and experience within the auction industry a plus Salary commensurate with experience.
