Multimedia Designer, Fulltime (hybrid) Springfield, MAThe Opportunity:As a Multimedia Designer, you will be responsible for handling multiple projects from concept through execution across all digital, print, and video mediums with a primary focus on motion graphics/animation, microsites, HTML emails/newsletters, and web assets.You must possess in-depth understanding of visual design principles and desire to push conceptual thinking according to the latest design and technology trends to create brand experiences for various audiences. You'll be expected to marry highly creative out-of-the-box thinking with brand/campaign guidelines while understanding both the challenges and opportunities of the digital channel. You will work with the Adobe Creative Cloud to create the latest animation and VFX techniques to meet all creative needs. We strive to work with our in-house clients to deliver proper and consistent messaging and content across our brand, while continuing to grow, learn, and stay on top of new industry technologies and trends.The Impact:Support the creation of engaging communications, that tell a story and support the look and voice of the MassMutual brand from concept through execution.Edit multimedia projects and maintain a consistent level of quality.Maintain communication with internal teams, production and clients on the status of projects with responsibilities to ensure deadlines are being met.Demonstrate constant innovation and creativity.Continually evolve and elevate the aesthetic while supporting the overall brand direction, especially in the digital landscape.Maintain relevancy in the field by monitoring visual design and digital trends, as well as emerging technology and usability trends.Ensure design/brand consistency and quality across multiple channels.Work to grow integrated digital strategy.Select music tracks, photography, stock footage, iconography, graphic elements and integrate all into finished videos for internal and external viewing (MM.com, MM intranet, MM Sales & Marketing, MM social media).Ability to ensure quality control and consistency on each output, with a high level of finishing skills including design aesthetic, asset integration, audio optimization, color correction.Weave together brand stories with storyboarding, video footage, brand assets, illustrations and make creative decisions throughout projects based on written scripts or input from the Brand Creative team and clients.Design for motion graphics to include color theory, digital effects, typography, iconography, and illustration.The Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with focus in Fine Arts or related design focus.5+ years professional experience creating branded communications (Animation, print, digital and motion graphics) under aggressive deadlines.2+ years of experience in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, After Effects, Premiere Pro.2+ years of experience with current design, animation, and technology trends.2+ years of experience with content creation that encompasses concepting, storyboarding, and creating motion graphics with the ability to integrate designed assets into creative videos.2+ years of experience working with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and various web platforms and coding (ex. WordPress).The Ideal Qualifications:Experience with innovative web/digital content on a project basis for clients as needed.Ability to present and sell ideas to high profile clients.Familiarity with a wide variety of media and presentation techniques.Ability to perform complex creative concept development through brainstorming and idea generation.
