The successful candidate(s) will have a passion for teaching middle and/or high school youth, and an ability and curricular vision to enhance the program and expand upon its offerings to further grow and enrich the overall pathway for Wide Angle Students. Ideally, we love to hire people that have worked with Baltimore City youth, but it’s not a deal breaker if you write a convincing cover letter. During the School Year Option 1- The ideal candidate will work 4 days/week, 20-25hrs/week at $20/hr including a weekly staff meeting on Monday’s from 1-2:30pm and commit for a period of two years to a teaching schedule of 5-7pm with the expectation of being around for planning and prep from 3-5pm, and a commitment to monthly 3 hour trainings once a month when Baltimore City Schools let out early on the first Wednesday of every month. You will manage a team of 5 students and collaborate with two other teachers and teams to create a branding package for a client in 5 weeks. You are PAID to make your own art AND receive a showcase at the end of the year.
