Mid-Level Designer / Designer II

We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented Mid-Level Designer / Designer II to join our growing design team in Naples, FL. This is not a desk-only design role, it’s an opportunity to bring ideas to life, transforming concepts into real-world, fabricated signage that shapes the built environment.

No two projects are the same. One day you may be developing production-ready files for fabrication, and the next you may be supporting senior designers on complex custom signage systems or refining 3D concepts to ensure they are efficient, buildable, and precise. This role is ideal for designers who enjoy seeing their work fabricated, installed, and standing in the real world.

As a Designer II, you will be responsible for creating accurate, manufacturable designs while supporting senior designers on larger and more complex projects. You’ll apply strong design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles, ensuring correct materials, tolerances, layers, and workflows that support efficient production and minimize rework.

What You’ll Be Doing

Creating production-ready 2D and 3D designs for architectural signage and custom fabricated projectsSupporting senior designers with layouts, shop drawings, mockups, and manufacturing coordinationPreparing files with correct layers, cut paths, materials, tolerances, and nomenclatureApplying design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles to improve efficiency and accuracyAssisting with prototyping and mockups for fabrication and client approvalTracking and maintaining design-related inventory itemsOperating, setting up, and performing basic maintenance on production equipment, including vinyl plotters/cutters, laser cutters/engravers, and large-format printersTroubleshooting common equipment issues, performing routine calibration, material loading, and preventative care to support uninterrupted productionWhat We’re Looking For

Strong proficiency in Flexi/LXi, Adobe Creative Cloud, and ShopVoxExperience in 2D and 3D design, including industrial design concepts, architectural signage, environmental graphics, and custom fabricated structuresA working knowledge of production equipment operation and routine maintenanceA clear understanding of how design decisions affect fabrication, machine output, and installationStrong attention to detail, spatial awareness, and production timelinesAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentA portfolio demonstrating 2D/3D work, shop drawings, prototypes, or architectural sign systemsWhether you’re stepping into the next phase of your design career or bringing years of fabrication-focused experience with you, this role offers long-term growth within a collaborative, hands-on environment.
