Mid-Level Graphic Designer

A downtown Los Angeles–based design studio seeks a full-time, mid-level designer to support the creative team in completing projects for a range of clients in the cultural and civic sectors. We bring smart ideas to life through the thoughtful interplay of design and content. We dig deep to organize complex information, using compelling visuals and messaging to meet an organization’s goals. Our ideal candidate is: • Well educated in graphic design (BA/AA preferred, will consider relevant work experience in absence of a formal design degree) • Experienced with a minimum of 5 years of working within a fast-paced agency or in-house design team • Required: Fluency in the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe XD) and Microsoft Office applications • Bonus: Familiarity with other Adobe applications (AfterEffects), presentation (Keynote), web/prototyping (e.g., WordPress) or 3D rendering (e.g., SketchUp) software • Self-motivated and resourceful, able to work independently after initial project/task briefing, giving periodic project updates to creative director • Efficient, adept at time management • Flexible, able to adapt to evolving deadlines on multiple concurrent projects • A good listener and effective communicator • Passionate about typography with a strong understanding of grid systems • Detail-oriented Job details: • Salary position with benefits • Flex hybrid work environment
