MOTION DESIGNER

POSITION OBJECTIVE Leads and collaborates with business partners across the organization to creatively solve various communication and brand challenges through motion graphic design. Collaborate with Producers and stakeholders to design compelling and effective communications. Create storyboards to share with partners with an understanding of suggested motion Work with art and creative teams to understand project scope and objectives Assist in selecting audio, video, colors, animation, etc for graphic design Work with producers and other designers to resolve technical and/or design issues Take projects from concept through final delivery Create motion graphics and animations using a variety of animation principles and styles Efficiently handle high-volume workload, communicate project status, and ensure all deadlines are met Prepare a design plan, concept and layout for motion graphic projects with little or no artwork/direction Support and enhance video projects with motion graphics Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming convention and organization of graphic files Research and analyze best design techniques and solutions to create motion graphics Maintain up-to-date knowledge about latest motion graphic design techniques Adhere to branding guidelines & design standards and effectively communicate design decisions Utilize a variety of design, VFX and animation principles and styles including 2D & 3D kinetic typography, digital signage, and compositing Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite programs including Premiere,After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator as well as Maxon Cinema 4D Excellent organizational skills Ability to set, manage and meet deadlines Demonstrate creative leadership and effective verbal and written communication skills Strong sense for graphic design and layout Experience in photography, cinematography, and video production Education or experience in graphic design, art and illustration (BFA/BS Art/Design) Five years of experience working in graphic animation disciplines Five years experience in a fast paced graphic design environment Technical knowledge in graphic file compression and formats
