Motion Graphics Designer

Who are we? DIS is currently seeking a Motion Graphics Designer to join our Design and Digital Services practice. Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Visual or Fine Arts, Photography, Communications, Media, or related field at a minimumMinimum of 5 years of experience in motion graphics, multimedia, or video design working for a Creative Agency, PR/Marketing Agency, communications and marketing practice, government and/or government contractor, or non-profitExcellent samples of work must be available electronically for reviewSkilled use of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator (at a minimum), in support of multimedia deliverablesMultimedia video experience: perform technical pre-production, post-production, and editorial functions for video, including processing, delivery, and archiving; importing, rough cuts, graphic design & compositing, audio sweetening, color correction, final cut, and final delivery (including web-based channels such as Twitter, YouTube, and Vimeo).Skilled use of video production software applications included in the most current version of Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to Premiere, After Effects, and Audition or equivalent NLE, motion graphics, and audio engineering software.Strong graphic design skills and the ability to design and develop in multiple print and digital mediumsExpert knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to develop, design, and/or format reports, create templates, infographics, and diagramsStrong understanding of typography, composition, color, storytelling, and aligning new materials to existing brand guidelinesSection 508 compliance expertise related to video (experience in applying general principles, creating captions, and developing and delivering audio descriptions)Strong oral communication and presentation skillsMeticulous attention to detail with a high degree of accuracyMust be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in a team setting or independentlyAbility to organize, coordinate, and deliver multiple complex projects/prioritiesand keep them on deadlineStrong work ethic with a commitment to client service excellenceApplicants must have the legal right to work in the US for any employer as sponsorship is not available for this positionAbility to obtain a US government security clearancePreference will be given to qualified Veteran candidatesPreferred Experience & Qualifications The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. of 5 years for the caliber/quality of work and client management skills
