Sentinel is seeking a Multimedia Designer with strong graphic design, video, and branding experience who understands how creative work supports business objectives. This role develops compelling visual materials that strengthen Sentinel’s brand, support business development, and engage clients, prospects, and employees.
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications, this position also works with executive management on designated projects. The right person can turn a rough concept, complex service offering, or dense presentation into polished, effective visual materials. You bring strong design judgment, understand the audience and purpose behind each project, and recommend creative approaches that achieve the intended goal.
We are looking for a collaborative, service-minded professional who asks thoughtful questions, welcomes feedback, and helps busy colleagues bring their ideas to life.
Responsibilities
Design print and digital materials, including proposals, sales presentations, brochures, one-pagers, reports, advertisements, event materials, and social graphics.
Produce and edit video, including interviews, service overviews, event highlights, and internal videos.
Translate business objectives into visual designs that support brand awareness, business development, client relationships, and employee engagement.
Partner with advisors, producers, and service leaders to visually present Sentinel’s risk management, employee benefits, safety, and HR services.
Work directly with executive management on designated projects, incorporating direction and presenting design recommendations.
Create infographics, charts, diagrams, and other visuals that make complex information easier to understand.
Develop PowerPoint presentations and reusable templates that help teams maintain a consistent, professional appearance.
Apply and help evolve Sentinel’s visual brand standards across print, digital, video, and event materials.
Develop branded assets and templates that improve consistency and make materials easier for colleagues to use.
Manage projects from initial request through final production, clarifying the audience, purpose, scope, requirements, and timeline.
Coordinate artwork, vendors, and production requirements for print, digital publication, video, and events.
Manage feedback from multiple stakeholders and balance competing deadlines with professionalism and sound judgment.
Qualifications
Five or more years of relevant professional experience, supported by a portfolio demonstrating graphic design, marketing collateral, presentation, and video capabilities.
Degree in graphic design, visual communication, multimedia, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience welcome.
Experience creating client-facing materials in professional services or another complex B2B environment.
Experience developing, implementing, or maintaining visual brand identities and design standards.
Understanding of how design supports business objectives, marketing priorities, and business development.
Excellent design skills, including typography, layout, composition, color, and visual hierarchy.
Ability to present technical or dense information through clear, engaging, and accurate visual design.
Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
A collaborative, patient approach to colleagues who may need help defining their design needs.
Ability to work independently, recommend creative solutions, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with After Effects or comparable motion graphics tools preferred.
Strong PowerPoint skills, including presentation design, template creation, and editing charts and diagrams.
Working knowledge of video production fundamentals, including framing, lighting, audio, and formatting for different channels.
Experience preparing files for professional printing and adapting designs for websites, email, social media, and events.
Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or similar collaborative design tools is a plus.
Please include a portfolio with your application. We are particularly interested in branding projects, presentations, proposals, marketing collateral, infographics, and video samples. Briefly identify your role in each project.
