Newspaper Graphic Designer

The Polk County Itemizer Observer is looking for enthusiastic Newspaper Designer to help with the layout of our weekly newspaper and specialty publications. Qualifications: • Minimum of 1 year of Newspaper Layout Experience or related field; or related experience • Advanced skills in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign • Knowledge of AirTable and Microsoft Office products • Experience with designing logos and graphics for advertisements • Experience with copywriting • Able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing • Able to accurately follow instructions • Familiar with current social media trends • Must be able to work well under pressure • Able to consistently meet short deadlines while providing high-quality work • Able to work independently as well as be a team player Experience: • indesign: 1 year (Required) • Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (Required) • Newspaper Layout: 1 year (Required) • Photoshop: 1 year (Required).
