Packaging Designer

Our client, a leader in the high-end textiles industry is looking to bring on a Packaging Designer to their growing team! SALARY/HOURLY RATE: $28/hr - $35/hr POSITION OVERVIEW: The Packaging Designer will be responsible for guiding the design process from beginning to end. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PACKAGING DESIGNER: • Leads the design process for packaging materials for products, including brainstorming, sketching, and creating prototypes • Works closely with clients to understand their needs • Evaluates consumer and market trends for packaging materials • Collaborates with the Marketing and Creative teams, especially Graphic Designers and Copywriters, to create eye-catching designs • Presents designs to clients and stakeholders using sketches and software design and ensures successful representation of the clients' brand • Works with engineers, safety groups, and accountants to create packaging prototypes • Collaborates with the Marketing team members to ensure packaging meets branding goals • Uses software and design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite, 3D software programs, and photography to bring packaging concepts to life QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PACKAGING DESIGNER: • Proven experience working as a Packaging Designer • Must have a diverse and well-organized portfolio to showcase their work • Experience working with creative design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite • Ability to generate effective hand- drawn sketches and be proficient in photography • Must be creative, aware of market trends, and able to work under the right pressure to meet deadlines • Possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work effectively • Natural talent for design and a keen eye for detail • Excellent written and verbal communication skills EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Art, or a similar field BENEFITS: • Medical • Dental • Vision • 401k • PTO and more As a woman-owned firm, we value diversity.
