The Baltimore Sun, a renowned and award-winning news organization, is seeking a visually skilled and news-savvy page designer to play a key role in relaunching our print production team. • Software utilization: The Sun is the first U.S. daily paper to use Protecmedia editorial software to design a print paper, using AI to create workflow efficiencies and to expand the eNewspaper to satisfy readers’ needs for more news. • Content booking coordination: Coordinate the booking of content for both the print edition and the eNewspaper, ensuring a smooth workflow, accurate lineups and consistent visual storytelling across platforms, while making deadlines. A good candidate should be able to improve the quality of display type while making grammar corrections on deadline. • 1–3 years of experience in newspaper or editorial design (internships included), with evidence of strong news judgment in design samples or previous work.
