Part-Time Jr. Graphic Designer

Location: Wilmington, NC (Hybrid)

Pay: $25 per hour

We are a fast-paced, collaborative marketing and sales agency seeking a Part-Time Junior Graphic Designer to join our creative team.

At The Diamond Group, you’ll bring our clients’ brands to life through engaging, visually compelling social media graphics. You’ll translate creative direction and brand guidelines into polished, eye-catching designs that capture each client’s identity and resonate with their audience.

As you grow in the role, there will be opportunities to take on additional hours and contribute to a wider range of creative projects, including digital advertisements, print materials, and other branded content. You’ll work alongside experienced designers, building your skills in branding, typography, and visual design while gaining hands-on experience across a variety of industries and brands.

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented designer who enjoys bringing ideas to life, can manage multiple projects, and is excited to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative creative team.

Social Media Graphic Design

Design engaging, high-quality graphics for social media platforms.Translate creative direction, client feedback, and brand guidelines into visually compelling social media designs.Develop a variety of social media assets, including static graphics, carousels, promotional visuals, and other platform-specific creative.Edit and assemble B-roll footage for social media Reels, incorporating clips, transitions, and basic visual enhancements to create polished, engaging short-form video content that aligns with each client’s brand.Maintain visual consistency across social media content while adapting designs to each client’s unique brand identity.Create and adapt design templates and visual assets to support ongoing client needs and improve creative workflow efficiency.Revise designs based on feedback from clients, senior designers, and internal team members.Ensure all creative deliverables meet quality standards, platform specifications, and established deadlines.Additional Graphic Design Opportunities

Assist with the creation of digital advertisements, print materials, and other marketing collateral as needed.Support senior designers with branding projects, visual identity development, website design, and larger creative initiatives.Apply strong design fundamentals, including typography, color theory, composition, and visual hierarchy, across all projects.Organize and maintain design files, templates, and creative assets for easy access and future use.Stay current with social media design trends, platform formats, and emerging creative tools to keep visual work fresh and relevant.Collaboration & Project Management

Work closely with TDG’s Creative and Client Services teams to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet client expectations.Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and consistent quality.Communicate effectively with team members, incorporate feedback, and provide timely project updates.Qualifications & Skills

1–3 years of graphic design experience, preferably with a focus on social media design.A portfolio showcasing strong graphic design skills and examples of social media creative.Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva.A strong understanding of typography, color theory, composition, and visual hierarchy.The ability to interpret creative direction and translate brand guidelines into engaging visual designs.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing polished, accurate, and high-quality work.Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with designers and other internal team members.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and openness to constructive feedback.Familiarity with social media platforms and their design specifications.Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools such as Google Workspace is a plus.The ability to work effectively in both remote and in-office environments.What’s in It for You?
