• Assists in performing planning functions related to current and long-range comprehensive planning and municipal development, land use management, economic development, urban development, comprehensive growth, annexation, and special projects as assigned. • Assists in developing and writing ordinances and amendments for consideration by the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, in the English language, with City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, land developers and the general public. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Significant outdoor work is required in the inspection of various land use developments and construction sites.
