Graphic DesignerReports To: Sales ManagerSummaryResponsible for creating artwork and original graphics to assist Sales Representatives in sales promotions.Duties And ResponsibilitiesFormulate and communicate ideas for new artwork analyzing customer needs and production feasibility.Accompany Sales Representatives on occasion to present new artwork to customers.Provide camera ready art when applicable.Have knowledge of various art equipment.Assist Die Coordinator (or Purchasing Manager) to insure proper plate ordering and master print card.Knowledge of and comfort using Windows and graphics software.Handle various art-related projects for company management.Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintain good housekeeping.Additional duties may be assigned by management.Education And/Or ExperienceCollege education or heavy college coursework in the field of computers, CAD, and drafting, or applicable work experience.Good communicator with customers and sales staff.Candidates are preferred who offer the following:Work experience in a related field (corrugated, packaging, etc. ).Drafting education or experience.Language SkillsAble to read and follow instructions on factory masters.Mathematical SkillsAble to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.Technical SkillsThe individual must have a working knowledge of the following:Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.Product layouts and production specificationsProduct quality specificationsQuality standardsCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMay be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
