Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Prepress Technician to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing customer files for print production, ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency throughout the prepress process. This role requires strong technical knowledge of printing workflows, file preparation, color management, and digital proofing.

Responsibilities

Review and preflight customer-supplied files to ensure print readiness.Verify file specifications, image resolution, fonts, bleeds, color profiles, and layout integrity.Create and edit print-ready PDFs and production files.Perform color corrections and manage color consistency across projects.Generate digital proofs and communicate necessary file corrections to customers and account representatives.Prepare impositions for various printing methods and finishing requirements.Operate and maintain workflow software, RIP systems, and prepress equipment.Collaborate with customer service, graphic designers, press operators, and production staff to ensure project accuracy.Troubleshoot file issues and provide solutions to meet production deadlines.Maintain organized digital archives and production records.Follow company quality standards and production procedures.Required

2+ years of prepress experience in a commercial printing environment.Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.Strong understanding of offset and digital printing processes.Experience with PDF workflows, preflighting, imposition, and color management.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.Preferred

Experience with EFI Fiery, Kodak Prinergy, Heidelberg Prinect, or similar workflow systems.Knowledge of variable data printing workflows.Familiarity with large-format printing and finishing processes.Understanding of industry standards and print production best practices.Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
