Prepress / Graphic Artist

Entry level graphic artist position requiring proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop, able to accurantly read a tape measure, and meticulous attention to detail is a must. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within the convention and event industry. We are looking for an individual who is driven, offers solutions and demonstrates a willingness to help in all areas.

There will be some light design work and assessing proper graphic applications, so bring your creativity. It is very welcome.

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· 2 years experience in a print shop

· 2 years experience in production prepress or design

· Knowledge of basic graphic materials and substrates

· Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office, Mac OS

· Ability to design layouts and creative graphics along brand guidelines

· Familiarity on large and grand format equipment

· Knowledge of color matching, color separations, and panel separations

· Assemble, proof, and output various graphics to press

· Check proofs for errors: size, bleed, spelling, color

· Maintain file storage library

· Knowledge of rip systems e.g. Onyx, EFI

· RIP files for production

· Strong attention to detail with quality control experience

· Ability to operate in within a fast-paced environment

· General Organizational & File Management Skills

· Ability to communicate clearly with other departments

· Ability to multitask & be flexible in high pressure situations

· Flexibility on schedule, be available for overtime opportunities

· Desire to learn new programs, skills, techniques in graphics

· General reading/writing/comprehension/arithmetic skills
