Prepress / Graphics Specialist

Company Overview: A locally owned and nationally recognized Printing, Signage, and Marketing Services company in Northwest Houston is seeking an experienced Prepress / Graphics Specialist to join our professional production team. Job Summary: The Prepress / Graphics Specialist plays a key role in preparing customer files for production, while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality. This role works closely with customers, the sales team, and production staff to ensure projects move smoothly from concept to finished product. • Preflight digital files for potential problems. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and process digital files for print production accurately and efficiently • Preflight incoming customer files to identify and resolve potential issues before production • Provide graphic design input and recommend solutions based on customer needs • Monitor project timelines and proactively communicate scheduling conflicts before deadlines are impacted • Work closely with customers and sales staff to review proofs and finalize artwork • Manage incoming digital files through email and file submission systems • Operate and maintain prepress equipment, including computers (Mac and PC), printers, scanners, and software • Maintain organized digital file archives and perform routine backups • Output production-ready files according to job specifications and press requirements
