Prepress Technician Job details Salary: DOE Job Type: Full-time Qualifications Associate Degree (Preferred) Graphic Design: 1 - 3 years (Preferred) Adobe Creative Suite: 1 - 3 years (Preferred) Microsoft Office: 1 - 3 years (Preferred) Mac OS / Windows Prepress technicians set the foundation for successful printing production. brochures, business cards, flyers, signs, packaging boxes and labels) is completed. Prepress technicians take print or electronic files and scan or import them into specialized software, making color, text, and digital image corrections as needed. They set up printing for hard copy or electronic proofs. Direct Mail experience is a plus Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Digital Prepress at a commercial printer Ability to work with minimal supervision and a high degree of initiative Good Organization, Time Management, and Multitasking Skills Good written and verbal communication skills Set-up and Operate multiple Digital Printers – will train if prepress skills exceptional Must be willing to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines Perform all phases of equipment set up, operation, calibration and routine maintenance Monitor inventory stock within production area and initiate reorder points Tracking Additional Bindery Skills are a Plus!
