Who We Are · The Hartley Press, Inc is a full service commercial printer offering high quality sheet fed and Heat-set Web Printing services with full bindery capabilities · We are a quick turn shop that always meet customer requirements and demands · We maintain a state of the art shop and are the area’s premier high quality printer Traits We Are Looking For · A highly motivated self starter · A team player · Ability to see the big picture and how all the pieces need to come together · A professional who can meet deadlines with accurate results · Ability to communicate clearly, accurately and thoroughly · Ability to coordinate with others · Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. · Ability to trouble shoot and solve problems independently · Ability to multi-task and solve problems · Attention to detail Experience and Skill Requirements · High School Diploma · Three years Prepress experience in a commercial shop · Prepress technicians need good eyesight and attention to detail for color and text proofing · Expert knowledge of all Adobe products (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop etc.) · In depth knowledge of Prinergy · Experience with PDF and postscript files · Ability to do accurate color corrections · Experience with color calibration for proofing and presses Job Duties · Preflight electronic files · Adjust files to match customer specifications including color matching · Create print ready PDF files for proofing, imposition and production · Generate standard proofs and imposition proofs · Check work for accuracy and that jobs meet the necessary specifications · Adjust files to match customer specifications including color matching · Send files to plate imaging device Benefits · Medical and Dental Insurance · Retirement Plan with company match · Paid holidays · Paid vacation · Life Insurance · Pay based upon experience Job Type: Full-time Experience: Prepress Operator: 3 years (Required) Typical start time: 7:30 AM Typical end time: 4:15 PM
