Principal Graphic Designer

We are a firm of researchers, strategists and designers that work on complex issues with corporations, nonprofits, and family foundations. The iF Principal Graphic Designer is a highly experienced and well-rounded hands-on designer, focused primarily on graphic design, but also skilled in additional design disciplines such as UX Design, illustration/animation, or design research. The majority of iF project work is graphic design: creating a range of presentation materials, workshop facilitation tools, information graphics, visual identities and illustrative storytelling assets. Role and Responsibilities • Act as a solo design lead and individual contributor within iF project teams, leading the design processes with confidence and autonomy. Qualifications • 8+ years of experience as a graphic designer in a studio or consultancy environment • 4+ years experience as an individual contributor in additional design disciplines (ideally UX design, design research, or storytelling/illustration) • Ability to proactively establish project design direction and scope with internal and client teams • Ability to articulate and lead clients through every step of the design process with complete agency • Collaborate closely with iF research and strategist subject matter experts, translating their needs into impactful design communications and deliverables.
