Product Designer

Product Designer Responsibilities: • Utilize a full range of human-computer interaction, human factors, product design, and computer visual design skills to design software and/or mobile products and features. • Apply design principles to create work product workflows, proof of concepts, and frameworks. • Design and review product prototypes, mockups and wireframes for the next generation of Meta products. Minimum Qualifications: • Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Web Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Industrial Engineering, or closely-related field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or in a product design or graphics design-related occupation. Experience must include 24 months of experience in each of the following: • Creating interaction design products and projects in related fields, such as graphic design, typography, or industrial design • Producing high resolution designs using Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator or equivalent design software • Prototyping interactive designs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Flash, Quartz Composer, or similar technologies • Understanding of type, hierarchy, color, composition, contrast, and other graphic design fundamentals • End-to-end iterative design process, from the start of a project to completion, with clear rationale going from step-to-step and examples of early information architecture and wireframes • Evaluating design tradeoffs using various sources of quantitative and/or qualitative data • Brand and identity work, for example logo explorations, branding guidelines, visual standards, and marketing pages • Ability to articulate reasons for design decisions by explaining other alternatives and corresponding trade-offs
