Product Designer

PTI is seeking a Product Designer who is ready to grow into a leadership role within our Design Department. The ideal candidate is a hands-on designer who enjoys mentoring others, improving processes, and contributing to the direction of the department as we continue to innovate. Key Responsibilities • Create and manage parametric 3D CAD models and drawings of rigid and flexible packaging (EBM, ISBM, injection molded, and other plastic formats) using Siemens NX • Translate customer and marketing specifications into innovative, manufacturable design concepts • Collaborate with project engineers and tooling staff to ensure feasible, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing outcomes • Support and advance the department’s design workflows, standards, and data management systems (Teamcenter) • Contribute to planning, scheduling, and resource management for design projects • Assist with training and mentoring of junior designers and engineers • Participate in technology scouting—help identify and implement new design tools such as rendering, simulation, and additive manufacturing • Support rapid prototyping and reverse-engineering efforts (e.g., 3D scanning and model reconstruction) • Contribute to business development and promotion of design services • Collaborate with leadership to establish pricing standards, departmental metrics, and performance reporting • Build and maintain effective professional relationships with team members, clients, and vendors It is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required of employees assigned to this job.
