### **About Ironsite**

Ironsite is building the intelligence layer for the physical world. We design our own wearable hardware, deploy it alongside craft workers, and transform a shift's footage into a next-morning report. Our internal team and purpose-built models label the data overnight and deliver actionable insights to superintendents by 5 AM.

We are accelerating the speed, efficiency, and predictability of construction, especially for complex, mission-critical infrastructure projects, including data centers, LNG facilities, sports stadiums, hospitals, and other large-scale developments, by training AI models on egocentric construction footage and labor productivity data. We are built with a pro-worker philosophy at our core: we believe technology should empower the workforce, not replace it. We're working to give craft workers and project leaders better visibility into what's happening on-site, while creating a system where the reality of construction and the chaos of each day is finally available to the people running the project.

Ironsite is deployed across several of the largest active construction projects in the country. To date, we've captured more than 100,000 hours of construction footage across seven states, now process thousands of hours of site activity every day, and maintain a worker opt-out rate below two percent. This is enabled by a workforce-first architecture that anonymizes devices, captures no audio, and never releases raw video.

Ironsite is backed by leading investors (8VC, South Park Commons, Saga Ventures) and prominent operators across technology and construction, including Eric Schmidt, Jeff Dean, Jeff Rothschild, Mark Leslie, Scott Wu, Eric Glyman, Karim Atiyeh, Russell Kaplan, and others, alongside over a dozen construction industry operators who have joined us as partners in building this.

Longer term, we believe Ironsite is the foundation for what construction becomes in the next decade. We think the systems we're building are the operating system for how the physical world gets built, and will unlock a fundamentally different way of respect for our workforce. One where craft workers are more valued, more visible, and better paid for the skill they bring, and where the industry finally has the intelligence layer that makes autonomous construction possible. Both futures start with the same foundation.

### **The Role**

We turn raw jobsite video into decisions a superintendent can act on before the next shift, and right now the hardest part of that isn't the model, it's the interface.

As a Product Designer at Ironsite, you'll join our design team led by our Head of Design, work closely with our CTO, and own the product surface across our customer-facing platform, internal labeling tools, and the field experience around our hardware.

This role exists now because we're at the inflection point. The technology works. The customers are lined up. The one thing standing between Ironsite and every major builder in the country is how the product feels in a superintendent's hands at 5:30 AM. That's what you'll own. You'll work directly with founders, engineering, and the crews on site.

### **What You'll Build**

####

* **The core customer platform.** How contractors see labor productivity, safety events, and progress across a site, and what they do about it
* **Interfaces that make computer vision output trustworthy.** How confidence, uncertainty, and source footage are shown, and how a person corrects the system
* **The internal labeling tools our annotation team uses for hours a day.** Throughput and accuracy are design problems here
* **The field-side experience around wearable hardware.** Onboarding a crew, checking a device, and everything a worker sees about their own data
* **Data visualization for dense operational reporting.** Direct vs. indirect work, idle time, route traces, crew-level trends
* **The design system, alongside our design engineers.** You contribute to the patterns and quality bar; they harden them in code
* **New product bets.** Taken from a jobsite observation to a prototype to something we can put in front of a customer in weeks

### **What We're Looking For**

* **3+ years designing software products end-to-end,** with a portfolio of shipped work you can walk us through in depth. The problem, the decisions, and what actually launched
* **Proven work on complex, data-heavy interfaces.** Tables, timelines, review queues, dashboards. Not just marketing-clean layouts
* **High proficiency in Figma,** plus rapid prototyping in whatever gets to the answer fastest (Figma, Framer, Claude Code, or a rough build)
* **Systems thinking.** You ship components and patterns, and you can write a spec an engineer trusts
* **Willingness to be on-site in SF and to get on jobsites in a hard hat.** This product cannot be designed from a desk

### **Preferred Qualifications**

* **Startup experience,** ideally at a design-forward company where you shipped fast and owned scope
* **Data visualization depth.** You've designed charts people make decisions with, not decoration
* **Motion design experience,** especially applied to interaction and state
* **Familiarity with construction, industrial, logistics, or other physical-world domains**
* **Comfort in code (React, HTML, CSS).** Enough to push your own work into the product

### **What Success Looks Like**

* **First 90 days:** You've shipped meaningful improvements to the customer platform and internal labeling tools, spent time on-site at Project Frontier and Woodside LNG, and have a first-hand read on how the product is actually used
* **First 6 months:** You've raised the design bar across your area of ownership. Contractors trust the CV output because of how it's presented. New product bets are moving from jobsite observations to prototypes to customer conversations in weeks, not quarters
* **First 12 months:** Ironsite's product is visibly better because of you. Superintendents rely on the platform daily, craft workers trust the field experience, and the internal labeling team is materially more productive. You're a critical voice in Ironsite's product strategy

### **Location, Compensation, & Perks**

* San Francisco Bay Area (on-site)
* Base salary: $170-200k per year, commensurate with experience
* Meaningful equity. The person who builds the finance function and helps shape corp dev should own real upside.
* Full benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) with 6% match
* Daily catered breakfast and lunch
* Office in San Francisco, next to Oracle Park and the Caltrain

Final compensation is determined by experience, location, and level.

### **Why Ironsite?**

* **The design surface is genuinely new.** Nobody has settled what wearable-camera productivity data should look like for a foreman. You get to define the conventions rather than restyle someone else's
* **Your work reaches people who are usually designed around, not for.** Craft workers see this product on their own site, about their own day. That raises the stakes on clarity, respect, and trust in a way most software never does
* **Real traction, early enough to shape it.** 100,000+ hours of jobsite footage captured, deployments across 8 states, hardware partnership with Studson, Series A close, and a 40-person team where a designer's call still changes the roadmap
* **Hardware, data, and AI in one building.** You'll design across the whole stack and see the effect on a jobsite within weeks, not quarters
