Product Development & Graphic Design Assistant

The company supports a wide range of product categories and works with customers throughout the process of developing, sourcing, manufacturing, and delivering finished products.

Role Description The Product Development & Graphic Design Assistant is a full-time, on-site position based in Overland Park, Kansas. This role supports the product development team with a combination of graphic design, product development, sample review, and project support.

The position is not limited to packaging design. Projects may include product artwork, product concepts and presentations, marketing materials, packaging, production artwork, product samples, product documentation, and other creative and development projects. The role will involve both digital and hands-on work, including creating and revising artwork, preparing production-ready files, measuring and photographing products and samples, reviewing materials and construction, researching products and solutions, organizing project information, and carefully proofing artwork and specifications.The ideal candidate is creative, organized, highly detail-oriented, and resourceful. They should be comfortable learning new software and processes, working through unfamiliar tasks, and independently researching solutions when needed. This role requires someone who can pay close attention to details, follow specifications, identify problems, and take initiative in finding solutions while supporting multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of relevant professional experience in product development, graphic design, packaging, or a related field

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

• Strong graphic design skills with the ability to create and refine professional, production-ready artwork

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading skills

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

• Ability to accurately measure, document, and evaluate physical products and samples

• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, on-site environment

• Ability to work independently, follow detailed specifications, and take initiative without constant direction

• Willingness and ability to learn new software, tools, and processes independently

• Comfortable working with both digital artwork and physical products

• Experience with packaging, print production, dielines, or manufacturing preferred

• Familiarity with Pantone, CMYK, color matching, and production proofs preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field preferred, but not required
