As an essential member of the communications group, the production manager will implement the production of all PPIC print and online products, creating a variety of high-quality, accessible, and engaging publications and outreach vehicles. \- Create layouts and format figures for reports, blog posts, presentations, and other materials using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint \- Format charts, tables, maps, and other graphics in Illustrator \- Convert text into html for posting in WordPress \- Create and maintain institutional document layouts in InDesign \- Update templates for a variety of publications \- Collaborate with authors and others across the institute on a range of design and production needs \- Work with editors and authors on data visualization projects \- Attend occasional press checks for printed material \- Keep up to date with industry best practices and monitor activities of peer organizations \- Act as key member of PPIC’s communications team, covering other responsibilities and tasks when required PPIC values the wide variety of backgrounds and experiences of our staff, and key elements in the consideration of qualified candidates include excellence; diversity of talents, backgrounds, and viewpoints; and a strong fit with our mission and goals.
